I'm going to go get my flu shot tomorrow. I remember it was pretty painful last time. I quit Wal-Mart. Also, Barack Obama won. Guess who I voted for? I voted a straight Republican ticket.

Freckles

They started to appear when I was 8. I don't have a lot, but they are noticeable enough. I was finding ways to get rid of them, so I came across a website that says lemon juice can lighten your freckles. Another way is to use overdue milk. These next weeks I'm going to use the lemon juice method and see what happens. I hope they disappear a little. Wish me luck. I forgot to mention that cousin Xeng got married too.

Busy day

I scheduled this whole afternoon off to do many things. I was going to stop by the Admissions Office but I don't need to anymore. I gave them a call instead, so I'm a little relieved that the call saved me a trip. I'm going back to college this Spring! I made that decision this morning. It took me just an hour to decide. I'm excited and I can't wait to work hard again. I was thinking Fall 08, so that I can apply for financial aid in Jan but I was thinking I can apply at that time too. Today I have to withdraw money for this weekend. This weekend Hubby and I are going to Gb to see my mom and attend the larges Hmong WI sports tournaments held each year now at Winnebago County Parks. I also gotta go to Wal-Mart to develop our Maui pictures. Then go home and do laundry. Then ask Mom if she still plans to go with us. If she says no then Hubby and I will head tonight and if so, then we'll head tomorrow morning. The other day we invited Txais and his wife for dinner. It was nice. We cooked lots of good food like kapong, fawm kauv, and broiled brats.

Company scam

So the cust orders a glider and ottoman. Glider goes out of stock but the ottoman still ships out. The company charges the total shipping on the 1st pckg. If she doesn't call back about the shipping of glider, then too bad for her. I thought about majoring in Business Management, but who'd want a Hmong for a manager, right? Let's face it! I'm bummed out and feel like crying.

Leaving FF

Tomorrow is my last day at work.  I'm excited.  I've to start looking for a new job too.  I'm thinking a video store.  I bought a lot of jeans lately too, and I still have 15 others to sew.  I'm debating if I should work Saturday.  humnmn, i don't know.  Probably not.  what's funny at work today all of us Hmong cashiers were on floor! and what's even more funny all of us are Vang's.

Got car back

Sadly, I am going to be crippled for life.  How will I go on without a leg?  jk.  State farm said they won't settle my car accident until I get checked, so yesterday I stopped by Bellin's Emergency.  I told them I felt fine after the accident.  But my knee was bruised couple days after and now I'm feeling a slight discomfort there.  She says I have Bursitis.  At work i was thinking in the future losing my leg or becoming mentally challenged because of the accident.  i don't know.  just funny thoughts came through my mind, which made me scared too.  Wee! I picked up my car today too.  What had to be fix was the front end assy, replacement of radiator and brake fluid.  The labor cost half of total

Car accident

So, the total damage of my car is $6,500.  Yeah, I know it's a whole lot!  My car cost me 10g.  I asked opinion from people whether I should keep my car or have a refund.  Then I can sell my engine for 2g.  It would total around the price I purchased my car.  Then I was thinking well I can do that, yeah.  I can buy another car with a clean history.  But even with a clean history car, it might not even run as smooth as my Corolla and besides no car around 10g will be have 33,000 miles on it but more like 50-80,000.  Humn?  I think I'm just going to keep my car.  The engine is fine.  Only the outside that needs work.  If I want to sell my car in the future, I can home sell it.  About the car accident, I was going straight on Main St.  The other car attempted to make a left turn and crashed into me. Then they crashed into traffic signal, which their car is said to be severely damaged.  My car was moderately damage but still (x_x)

Resign from work

Ahh, so here I am again.  I'm doing good.  Next week is the last week of classes, and the week after will just be exams.  Another semester done. I feel quite excited.  Last week I got into a car accident :(  another sad thing I resigned from work   I asked May 20 weekend to my last weekend and the 23 or 24 to be my last day.  I want to reserve Memorial weekend. It is a weekend that might change my life....

Grade school? humn

A customer came through my lane and she says I look like I'm in grade school heh.  it was funny after I told her I was 21.  I'm looking old slowly, so I guess that's a good thing.  I don't know but i've been scheduled a lot of days to work.  That means my bosses like me.  People who call in sick or no show hehe don't think they're going to be schedule much.  My expected next check is going to be around $400, which I'm excited because it will be the most I've earned in 3 years.  I'm going to save $300 for car insurance bill in Aug and the rest will be tithe and gas *sighs

When I get married

Let's see what I will have for my marriage life - my 10 thousand dollar car (very important), my savings, my laptop, my clothes.  Wow that's it, heh.  well, my stereo system, desktop, dvd collection but those are not important.  I want to stay single this year and hnav khaub ncaws hmoob kom txaus tiamsis I don't know if I want to wait until 2008.  Maybe not. I learned their names the other day.  My grandpa and his brothers in order are Nyiaj Tub Muas, Vaj Muas, Yis Muas, Ntxawg Muas, and Toog Muas. Essay not good

I got a D on my first essay for Expository Writing.  I can't believe it sound that bad though. She's probably racist or didn't like my comment.  I said the topic was a little old. I was just being honest. Gosh I hate her.  I worked hard on that essay too.  How the damn did the exchange student score a B when her English and vocabulary is 10x worse and her paper doesn't even make sense na.  The professor wasn't even nice to say "oh, fix the mistakes and I can adjust your score." If my next essay is another D, i'm just going to walk up to her and throw my essay in her face, hehehe.  let's see if I have the guts or humnmn I wonder if i'll be expelled.  I can write an apology, which I am not truly sorry.  Ahghrrr!  This semester isn't going well.  I thought about taking a semester off but then I might never finish or get married and finish college later.  I have to finish.  BA is a must.  I have a lot to read still.  I hope for a godsend something.  Please.

Shopping for clothes
Ib xyoos ntuj zeeg li no mam li mus shopping ib zaug hehe siv tas $80 on clothes. Ok, everyone go to Good Will! Tonight I bought 7 pairs of fairly new shoes and 3 pants. Those shoes were shipped right from Target. I didn't know Target have cute small shoes for petites. Wow! I'm going to stop by Target one of these days. I also stopped by the Gap and purchased 2 jeans. They were on clearance, which was great. I will never buy those 70bucks jeans again. I still have to buy cute shirts. HND is not too far away and I want to look good. I haven't shoveled the snow yet. Actually i drove over the snow many times, so the snow has flatten

A godsend truck
There was a snow blizzard yesterday and yeah I was still up cramming for my Business Macro exam as I looked out the window my drive-thru was blocked with street snow! It wasn't very nice but when you live on the corner of two major roads in town, this is what you get. I either had to shovel or wake up early today, so what did I do? I went out at 2am yesterday hehehe and shoveled. The weather was still windy and cold and ha ya. I was thinking about calling my girlfriend to pick me up but didn't want to bother, so yes I got a little frustrated and mad. And because I work tonight too. 2am? no cars, nobody. As I was shoveling, a guy out of no where with his plow truck said they can shovel my drive-thru. I was so relieved, so happy, and so thankful. I still have our parkinglot to shovel haha which I am not going to. These next few days I'm going to let the sun do its job!

Looks like our new neighbors has moved. I've been wishing they'd move and yeap, my words are answered. Now I come to think I'm quite a powerful person :D I wished this mean lady at work who always picked on me to quit and she did too. Humnnn.. anyway, Happy VD to everyone. New neighbors
they are smokers and the odor gets to where we are.  I feel a little dizzy sometimes but it will be all right I guess.  My monitor broke down somehow and I purchased a new one today.  It's a lcd flat panel 17inch Samsung from Sam's Club.  They said this is one of the best brands out there.  Humnnn..I can't tell any difference.  It's a lot lighter than my crt flat screen, which is awwwesome.  I just got done installing Windows XP Professional too.  I can't tell any difference from XP Home :?

Hi everyone

I've been real busy and paying off bills.  $300 for car insurance and $400 (from x-mas) for my credit card bill.  I thought about paying little by little but was afraid bad credit is coming.  just to get the bills over with, so I can actually start saving again.  I want to build my credit too.  So far they've added $300 for me paying bills on time, hehe.  I'm hoping this year they'll increase another hundred.  I've also saved extra money from my grants and scholarships.  My mom takes care of my savings.  She says I won't see that money til my marriage day.

What's up

ohh wow, i haven't written here in a long time.  Actually I've been busy and i've still a lot of things i want to do but so little time.  i try to finish everything at once  finally i sew a missing button.  i had that shirt sitting around since summer.  my room is nice and neat except for my 1st semester papers i need to organize.  I know i've been to worse rooms.  I'm on break and i'm going to spend it watching movies, organizing my dvd collection, clothes, finish a novel, and updates here.

X-mas shop

I happened to stop by Shopko and bought the Harry Potter series in widescreen.  Shopko sold at $8.99 each.  It was a real good deal.  Sam's club sold for 20cents cheaper but they were full screeners.  my x-mas list is almost done.  only 2 more people to go.  I'm   gosh, I've so much to read still.  Finals will be in two weeks.  I've to get my act together

Shopping

I bought Lord of the Rings series, all three parts.  I couldn't resist it.  I didn't buy the extended versions though, and I wouldn't.  They were each 8.42 at Sam's Club.  Yeah I got the widescreen versions!  It's hard finding widescreens today.

I wanted to buy the Harry Potter series too, but they only had full screen versions   I bought a new purse. I bought a new TV for my mom and I, a 20inch flat screener.  It's a lot smaller than our old one that we've had over 10 years.  10 years ces tas nws qhov nqi lawm and the back is broken and the front doesn't have the video and audio plug-ins.

Happy Thanksgiving

Today was so windy and cold.  it wasn't nice.  My brother and nyab said nkawd laj tu menyuam lawv tsis tuaj.  Today I just stayed home mostly.  i did drop my mom off at my aunt's church and drove to Office Max and bought a Wireless 108G USB Adapter for my desktop.  What it does is it auto connects my computer to a wireless network nearby so I'm able to access the internet (similar to my notebook's internal wireless).  I got a good deal.  The original price was 70.  they had a $10 instant rebate and $20 send-in rebate, so the final price was $40.  I came back to pick up my mom and guess who I met?  My friend Lorrie from high school!  I almost cried but held my tears   She brought her boyfriend too.

It's snowing

The sooner it snows, the sooner winter will end.  hopefully right.  it snowed 2 inches tonight.  the earliest snow day I can remember was Nov 2 when I was 7 yrs old.  we lived on a farm then.  our driveway was huge and I was lucky to have many many brothers.

Dial-up

What I like best about dial-up is that you can connect to the internet anywhere through a phone cord.  i wonder if you have cable can you do that too?  For big companies like AOL and Wal-mart Connect, connections are likely any location.  I don't know why I bought a laptop because i've really no use.  it was just one of those things i wanted, that i have one.  i have the HP Pavilion dv1000 Entertainment to Go.

Suspending my internet

I called Wal-Mart connect to suspend my account until December.  Instead they gave me 2 months free  i called  because I'm getting behind homework.  it's very tempting to go on the internet.  I can always find something to do.  I've wasted many hours of study, and that's why I always have bad dreams arriving to class late.  what's worse, there is wireless networking around my house.  my laptop detected it and that means i can use the internet any time I want.  all i have to do is turn on my laptop, and I'm on wireless internet!  cable, road runner that is.  I know, that's so awwessome.  and i'm thinking great, now i'm going to be real behind.

Anyways, it's late.  I'm still up studying for my Philosophy test, and I probably won't go to sleep til 4.

Green Bay New Year

G-g-g-g-g-g, it was coooold.  It was cold and windy.  there weren't much people because of the weather.  a good 300 people showed up though and there was ball tossing for awhile.  We did have important authorities who attended like Mark Green (mayor of GB) and one of WI state senators.  I wore Hmong clothes that whole day.  because of the cold weather, my sis and I stayed in the building most of the time watching people walk pass the doors to the stage outside.  one guy asked me twice to ball toss, but I told him it was too cold.  and I heard he is dating my neighbor's daughter, so  didn't want problem.  he gave me a long lecture about marriage  my aunt Nyiaj Ntaj Muas from St. Paul with her two sons also came to Green Bay.

Join us for our New Year

Lol, so I found out that there wasn't any class on Monday, so guess I didn't miss anything!  I'm so happy.  I don't work this weekend.  I'm excited   It's gonna be the Green Bay New Year, held at Bay Beach.  this is off interstate 43 exit Webster Ave. if you're coming from the south, go north on Ashland, go east on Mason, go north on Webster, and drive until you see Bay Beach or if you are coming from the west, drive west on Shawano to Webster, go north on Webster towards Bay Beach and finally, if you are coming from the east.  Wait!  there is no highways from the east.  what's cool, you will be passing my house  on your way to the new year.

I want to wear the mushroom hat costume again.  It's such a lovely alfit.  I might just walk around and look at people, so look for me :D  Wear your Hmong clothes because there is going to be ball tossing.  Admission is no cost.  there's also a party $5/person if you're interested in some fun.  I've a feeling there isn't going to be a good show up because of other New Years, so if you are reading this, please join us at Green Bay.  It would be nice. Skipped class

I skipped math today and came home early :(   I can't skip any of my other classes because the professors give notes in class they don't put up online.  Intro to Philosophy is boring.  I'm really glad that class is only 50 minutes.    Freedom and Social Control has been a really interesting course.  we talk about the pursuit of freedom and beliefs of political parties.  Ocean Air is also a very interesting class.  We learn how to interpret the weather.

Algebra

my classes aren't bad.  I like them all.  i scored 47/50 for my chapter 2 intermediate algebra class and 49/50 for chapter 1.  so far so good.  The class average was 68%.

Sunny on Labor Day weekend!

I just looked up the weather for Green Bay and it's going to be real nice this weekend.  No rain.  just shine :)  i'm so excited.  last week I found someone to work for me since this weekend is the weekend i'm required to work.  my mom and i went to Manitowoc's Hmong new year this past weekend and got me a new alfit.  it's the blue, black alfit with the pretty mushroom hat.  i want to wear that on Saturday and then wear my green colorful alfit on Sunday.

I have two blogs - this one and the one at Nplaim Hlub.  This one is a little more personal I think because it deals more with my emotions.  My life is going all right.  What I wanted, I already have (material things)  two things I'd like to own in the future would be a family camcorder and a house.  I think about creating a family some day and sometimes worry me because I need a good job.  how am I going to pay for all my children's hospital bills and education.  those add up fast.  Without insurances *sighs* the family might go into major debt.

How many siblings do I actually have

I have 9 brothers and 6 sisters.  Just this week I realized there are 7 girls in the family! according to Hmong folklore, 7 daughters mean I'm a Princess   2 of 9 brothers are full blooded and 7 brothers are halfs.  All my sisters are halfs.  Let's see if I can name them off, lol.  From the boys - Phia, Eee, Thomas, Daniel, Meng, Seng, Ziak, Isel, and ().  From the girls - May, Kia, me, Pachia, (), (), and ().  Aw sad isn't it?  I can only remember Pachia because she talked to me the most.  I've to go back and visit all my sisters and brothers.

Bought a scooter

Life is back to normal now.  Thank goodness.

I bought a kick scooter the other day.  I wanted one so if I park my car far from campus, I can use that to not be late.  2 days ago, I brought it to my mother's garden.  I went down a slope.  it was fun at first.  i was yelling and screaming here and there.  Then when i reached the bottom i couldn't stop.  i was scared, so I tried stopping with my feet.  i did and fell!  that hurted bad.  I scratched my knees, my feet, and worst my lips, lol.  It's still swollen as of now.  I look like i was beat up or somethin.  I look funny.  I showed my mom and aunt and they laughed at me.  Today my swollen lips has healed quite a bit. The top of my lips, the skin is a bit cracked.  I hope it comes back together.   So I was thinking "Tau zoo dhau lawm" and this was my punishment.  I was lucky my face didn't get scratched.   that would've been terrible.

Busy busy busy

Wow so i haven't written in my journal in a long time.  actually i've been real busy these last couple days. My mom and i drove down to Milwaukee to visit my sick sister in the hospital :(  She had night fevers days straight.  the doctors said her kidneys weren't working.  I was sad for moment she might die.  Can a person die from kidney failure?  I was sad.  But she is fine now.  we prayed that when we got there, she'd be well and she was.  Then we drove home and then drove to Madison to help my brother, nyab, and kids move to a different apartment.  They wanted to move because the playground and apartment surroundings had ring worms.  Ring worms cause rashes that are permanent.  And it was also my niece's and nyab's birthday.   Lily turned 2 years old, and my mom sewed a cute Hmong alfit nrog ib daim sev dai npib for her.  The whole neighborhood was there, lolz.  all the little kids, the neighbors.  It was so cute.  The move was great.  My bro and nyab moved to a nicer neighborhood.  This neighborhood is clean, the apartment looked like they're just built.  I don't know if the neighbors are nice.  I hope so.  We had many many helps.  Nyab's sister's family was there.  My lee uncles' sons.  There were 5 of them, then my other brother too.

Untitled

Today has been quite fun and busy.  I was supposed to go help Uncle Nom Mee's family cook but didn't go.  My mom left early in the morning like 5am.  I didn't feel like going though it wasn't a Christian cooking.  I don't feel like going anywhere anymore.  I just want to stay home.  Let's see what I do at home - started reading a book titled Reunion.  I plan to finish it before school starts.  I've been renting a lot of movies from the library.  then I browse the internet once awhile for a little bit.  Nothing.  And log off.  I went shopping around for a student desk today.  Most of them are around 50-60$.  since I'm giving my old computer to my bro, why not just buy another computer desk with lots of desk space and give this one to him?  So, I did. I love the one I bought (from Shopko).  it's perfect.  It is temp glass and looks real nice.  I also bought a new chair.  This one I got from Shopko too.  it's small, cute, comfortable, and adjustable.  It was so frustrating putting the desk together by myself, but I did it.  I'm so happy and proud of myself because this is the first time I actually put anything like this together from scratch (well, the parts were included of course :D)  Sometimes I think I have expensive tastes and sometimes I think not

I also thought about trading in my black guitar for a smaller guitar.  I want to get a smaller sized body, so i can play the strings.  I want to sing to my kids some day or at least hum while stroking a short tune. They're going to love that so much.  I'm going to make a great and loving Mom some day.

Sometimes I feel my life is better and better and yet sometimes not.  I think it's getting only better, but the best yet shall arrive soon.

Chasing an old lady
There was an old couple came through my lane (70+ yrs of age).  They paid but I forgot they did, so I ran after the old lady in the parking lot.  Her husband was still in the bathroom.  She showed me their receipt, and I apologized.  In a few minutes, her husband came back and started yelling at me.  lol.  He was loud.  I felt so embarrassed.  Was I supposed to?  I did say sorry before I came back in the store.  The old man was cussing f*ck and sh*t.  It was just so funny that I smiled and smiled more.  Then he said "Get that smile off your face!"  I said "Yes, sir"  I kept smiling and smiling because I couldn't help it.  Or was I about to cry?  lol.  Then the old man said something like his eyes are gonna be watchin' me. Then he left.

It's my Birthday
Yayy, Happy Birthday to me.  I'm officially 20 years old.  I feel weird..
Today has been nice.  I worked for someone.  Then my mom and I went to the Green Bay Tournament for a little bit.  We saw my nieces.  It was sad because I didn't see them for a long time :(  I wish they stayed with us for the summer.  We came home and my Aunt and Uncle said they're coming over to celebrate my birthday.  They brought a cake and ice cream.  We sung Happy BD to me.  lol.  It was cute and sweet and made me feel like a kid for the last time.  I blew out the candles.  I let the little one take the last candle....as I made A Wish in my heart.

Fortunate year for me
This year has been a great blessing in my life.  it is the luckiest year in my life so far.  Started off with school I was able to save $6,000 from grants and scholarships all cashed in my hands.  I managed to pass all my courses with a decent grade.  This coming fall i'm hoping and planning will be better.  In February, I purchased my 2001 black Toyota Corolla. I also have money left, and I feel gREAAAT.  Just this past weekend, my sister bought me a brand new Sprint cell, a Sanyo 8200 - early Birthday present for me because she won't have time to visit and besides she'll be going to MN July 4.  I paid for the cancellation fee but that was all right.  My car, my misc bills, college... I am debtfree. Humnnn and what else ne?  so many wonderful things that happened.  And if I got married this month, wow, I would consider that very odd along with everything that has occurred.  anyway, i'm very grateful for all these things.

The rides I went on at Six Flags
Here are pictures I took from my digital camera. We waited pretty long to get on the rides like 10-30 minutes. I held my breath on all of them and closed my eyes.  I should have screamed on the rides but laughed instead.

Superman - first ride! it was fun.  a part of the ride that was really scary was it pulled our backs toward our seats and we went swinging high backwards.

Batman - dizzy ride. I didn't enjoy it because too many swirls.  I wouldn't go on this one again.

Iron Wolf - This is a stand up ride.  Made me dizzy too because it kept bumping my head from side to side.  I wouldn't go on this one again either.

Viper - was fun.  this ride made of all wood and looks real dangerous.  Probably the oldest ride there.  This ride I laughed all the way to the end because it tickled my tummy.  I would go on this one again.

Amerigoround - after many rides, we rode this one.  it was very boring but relaxing.

Raging Bull - most scariest ride.  Has a 45degree angle and 2nd and 3rd drops were really scary but it was the most fun, most thrilling, and most high.  I would definitely go on this one again.  The white ride you see in the background is the American Eagle.  That was the one that took all my dizziness away.  I enjoyed that one too because it tickled my tummy and I laughed all the way.

I am . . . ANGRY
I scored an AB for the Hmong class.  I should be happy but I'm pissed off.  I scored high A's for all my tests.  but I scored a C on final exam. that should not have great effect since I did well on all others.  I only missed 2 classes.  Teacher said I missed 4. I should have gotten A for attendance!  I turned in all my homework and 3 of my hw grades were missing but he fixed that.  I've never turned in any homework late in my academic career.  Huhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I'm just really mad at the teacher.  I had the guts to e-mail him.  Oh well.  AB is...good.  But I am not happy.  And I can not get this madness out of me. I think the instructor called my cell a few times.  i'm not going to answer.  I don't feel like talking to him.  i'll just pretend to be happy and smile when I see him. I'm never going to take his classes again.  NO WAY!

I went to return my textbooks for cash the other day.  When the semester starts, you pay the full amount and then when you return them you get 50% back.  Not much.  I'm still debating whether I should keep my Psychology text or not.  It has a lot of interesting info good for future reference.

Boy died of heart attack
The customer is always wrong and the cashier is always right.  This is so true.
A Hmong Lee middle school boy died 2 days ago because he suffered a heart attack while running the mile.  He has a past of cardiac problems, and unfortunately his parents did not report the boy's medical  Then a Lee family in Green Bay on that day too, their house caught on fire.

Mother's Day
I just had to buy something for the four wonderful mothers I know.  I'm really happy I did.  It's a real special day. Two of them I wrote Love, (my name).  Sweet huh.  One of them I was kind of emotional.  I nearly cried that one but those were only happy tears.

I just hope my mom's plants don't die  lolz.  I'm kindna tired from work.  My feet aches.  I should go buy the heel gel.  I felt crummy today.  don't really know but I was grinning at customers this entire day *sighs
I've been having bad dreams lately.  3 bad dreams 3 days straight.  So yesterday night I put my long pillow to left side and other pillow to my right to guard me and to feel safe.  It was one of the scariest nights I've ever had in a long time.  I remember one dream my family packed and left without me.  I went back to the house and the atmosphere just scary like muaj poj ntxoog.  I forced myself to wake up.  I hate dreams where I wake up and feel my whole body shaking and my heart pounding fast

How about Business Administration
I worked this evening.  I chatted with Megan, a senior at uwgb who will be graduating with a Business Admin major.  I should've chatted with her earlier, because I was next to her cashiering lane. She's real nice.  Now I'm thinking Yeah! Business Administration.  I'm going to look further into that.  I only need a bach degree to find a real nice job.  For a Pych, Counsel and Social Work major I will have to go to graduate school.  Kuv vam thiab cia siab hais tias txhua yam yuav mus raws li lub siab xav xwb.  My uncles, my sister, brother said Pych, Counsel and Social Work don't pay much.  Doesn't matter right?  As long as you enjoy what you're doing  and know what you're doing.
